T-Connector Installation Guide

1.Cleaning of Socket Joints

Thoroughly clean the groove and bell-shaped socket, insert the rubber gasket, and check that it is oriented correctly and securely fastened.

2.Install the rubber ring

（1）For pipes with a small diameter: Insert the rubber gasket into the socket so that it forms a heart shape or the number “8,” then position the lower half or the top and bottom of the gasket into the grooves inside the socket.

       Large-diameter pipes: Align the white marking line on the rubber gasket with the marking line on the end surface of the socket, then insert the gasket into the socket in a flower-like shape. (Ensure that the circumference of the gasket faces the appropriate sealing groove.)

（2）After removing dust and debris, apply a layer of lubricant to the area from the end of the socket to just inside the white line, as well as to the inner surface of the rubber gasket. Ensure that the socket end has been chamfered; otherwise, sharp or square edges may damage or displace the gasket, causing leaks. When cutting pipes on-site, use a heavy-duty file or grinder to chamfer the socket end and remove any sharp edges.

（3）Align the spigot end with the socket, then insert it into the socket of the pipe.

（4）For pipes with diameters ranging from DN700 mm to DN1200 mm, use two control rod sliders during connection; for pipes with diameters ranging from DN1400 mm to DN2000 mm, use three control rod sliders during connection.

（5）Push the spigot end into the socket. Keep the joint straight while pushing. For small-diameter pipes, use a long rod and a fork-shaped tool to push them in; for large-diameter pipes, use additional tools such as a chain hoist and a rotating rod puller.

（6）Bend angle: When it is necessary to bend a pipe, the pipe can be bent at the joint within the permissible range of angles.

（7）Check the position of the gasket by inserting a feeler gauge into the gap between the socket and the spigot, and check around the circumference of the socket to ensure the gasket is properly positioned.

3.Back to Fill in

The soil used to backfill the trench must not contain slag, dust, waste, vegetable matter, organic materials, gravel, rock, frozen soil, or any other unsuitable materials. From 0.3 meters above the top of the pipe to the subgrade of the sidewalk, soil mixed with gravel may be used, provided that the maximum size of the gravel does not exceed 20 cm.

4.Pressure Test

Once backfilling is complete, a pressure test is conducted to verify the reliability of the structure.
